'An Evening Of Enlightenment' is an exciting cross art form event as part of PRSF’s ‘New Music Plus’ programme, Featuring music, visuals and fire!

‘An Evening Of Enlightenment’ will transform the grounds of The Orangery, Wakefield into a life sized multi-sensory, sound and light installation. 

Upcoming musicians will perform live music and create ambient soundscapes which will set the backdrop for street performers, shadow puppetry and other visual delights! All amongst a unique and wondrous environment scattered with fire sculptures and creative lighting.

Headlining the evening will be Leeds 4-piece indie/rap/electro band Middleman. “Middleman are a really exciting new band doing something completely original. Think Rage Against The Machine meets The Streets with huge catchy choruses.” – NME

3 x UK champion beatboxer Ball-Zee, has quickly become established as a leading vocal musician on the world stage thanks to his unquie musical style, signature snares and realistic sound effects.

Circle Wave – Jazz/World duo using loops and FX to create ambient soundscapes coloured with virtuoso solos on guitar and saxophone.

Shadow Puppet Show – ‘Moon Man’
Satellite Arts will perform their version of a little known story by Hans Christian Anderson using beautiful handmade shadow puppets.



Yew Tree Youth Theatre - Spoken Word/Physical Theatre
Yew Tree’s budding writers will showcase some of their work on the theme of fire!

Street Performers – Live circus skills in the disciplines of Fire Poi/Fire Staff/Diablo/Fire Breathing and Stilt Walking.
